Hoffman Estates, I.L. – Raptors 905 (23-9) concluded its four-game road trip with a 113-104 victory over the Windy City Bulls (13-17) Thursday night. Brady Heslip recorded 22 points, his fourth straight game scoring 20+ points, to lead the 905 to victory. Jarell Eddie countered for the Bulls, scoring 28 points off the bench in the loss.
Raptors 905 jumped out to an early 30-26 advantage in the first quarter, led by six point frames from Edy Tavares and Antwaine Wiggins. Jake Layman, on assignment from the Portland Trail Blazers, scored 10 points to lead the Windy City offensive attack.
In the second quarter, Raptors 905 recorded another 30-point frame, sparked by Toronto Raptors assignee Delon Wright’s nine points. Layman continued his hot start, scoring six points for the Bulls, bringing his first half total to a game-high 16 points.
Bruno Caboclo, on assignment from the Toronto Raptors, recorded 12 points in the third quarter to lead Raptors 905 to an 86-63 advantage after 36 minutes of play.
In the fourth, Jarell Eddie exploded for 21 points, but his efforts were not enough to complete a comeback for the Bulls who trailed by as many as 27 points in the quarter. Heslip scored 11 points in the final frame to seal the victory for Raptors 905.
