Mike Anderson was selected with the 19th overall pick this Saturday at the 2015 NBA D-League draft. Anderson, a 6’4 guard out of Washington was the first ever D-League Entry Draft pick for Raptors 905, who are set to begin their inaugural season in November.

How do you feel right now?
I feel great. It's a great opportunity for me to continue my career and I'm ready to come out there and contribute

Describe the kind of Player Mike Anderson is…
I feel like I'm an all-around player. I can shoot I can pass I can rebound, I love to play defense. I love to get my teammates involved. I do everything, I'll do everything coach asks and everything for the team

Terrence Ross is a current Raptor that played in Washington, do you know him?
I played against Terrence Ross at an open gym. I don't know him well, but I'll definitely reach out to him.

Do you know anything about Canada?
I've never been to Canada before, this will be my first time ever... I know Drake!

Where does this rank for you in your basketball career?
This is actually a huge milestone for me. It's a big, big achievement for me because where I came from, I really came from the bottom. When I was in high school I didn't think I could come this far and be drafted and be a pro. I just kept working and I just kept pushing. I thank God and my family and friends that have been behind me the whole time and pushing me. To go pro, this is something I've always wanted.

I'm not going to stop. I'm trying to get to the highest level, there's no ceiling for me. You have to be great, you can't stick to being average... Don't stay complacent and keep pushing.

What do you think management liked about you?
I think it's because of my energy. What I do on the court are things that don't show up in the stat book… A lot of eye-opening things I can do that I feel like I can bring to Raptors 905.

Do you have any weaknesses on the court?
I would like to work on everything.

What do you enjoy doing off the court?
I love being with my daughter. I'm with her every day... She's just one but she's probably going to stay here in Connecticut with my mom. I would love for her to come up with me, but I think mom wants her to stay."

Anything you want to say to the people in the 905?
"I'm just happy for the opportunity and I'm ready to get some wins. I'm just happy."

Anderson will join the team at the first day of training camp today as the team gears up and prepares for the season. Raptors 905 are slated to play three preseason games in November and the season will officially tip-off on November 15 on the road against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
