RAPTORS 905 SELECT BURNS IN 2023 NBA G LEAGUE DRAFT

      Raptors 905, the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, announced Saturday the selection of Myles Burns in the 2023 NBA G League Draft.  

      Burns, selected 11th overall, appeared in 120 career games (79 starts) over three seasons at Loyola University New Orleans (2018-22) and one season at the University of Mississippi (2022-23). In his final season with Loyola, he earned NAIA National Championship Tournament MVP, NAIA Second-Team All-America, and the Marques Haynes Award, which is given annually to the player with the most steals across all divisions of college basketball. In his lone season with the Ole Miss Rebels, the Houston, Texas native averaged 8.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.4 steals in 33 games (30 starts).  

      Following the draft, Raptors 905 claimed Doral Moore, Jahvon Henry-Blair, and Matt Milon from the available player pool. Moore, a Wake Forest alum with two seasons of G League experience, appeared in 89 games (59 starts) between the Memphis Hustle (2018-19) and Delaware Blue Coats (2019-20), averaging 8.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks. Henry-Blair, a product of Brampton, Ontario, who represented Canada in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Americas qualifiers, played his college ball at Georgetown University (2017-21) and most recently suited up for the CEBL's Niagara River Lions. Milon, appeared in 121 games (78 starts) with three teams; Boston College (2015-16), William & Mary University (2017-19), and the University of Central Florida (2019-20). The Oviedo, Florida native most recently played for Fribourg Olympic (Switzerland) posting averages of 12.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists.
