REGGIE PERRY SELECTED FOR USA BASKETBALL WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS

Raptors 905, the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors announced Thursday that forward Reggie Perry has been selected to represent Team USA in the FIBA men’s World Cup qualifiers.

Team USA will play Team Uruguay in Montevideo, Uruguay, on Thursday, Feb. 23 before travelling to Santa Cruz do Sul, Brazil to play Team Brazil on Sunday, Feb. 26 as part of its final qualifying window.

Through 34 games (30 starts), Perry is averaging 21.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks in 31.6 minutes. He has secured a double-double in a team-high 14 games this season, including his first career-triple double against College Park on Dec 16. Perry is the only player in the G League averaging 21-or-more points, eight-or-more rebounds, three-or-more assists, one steal, and one block per game.

In the 2021-22 season, Perry averaged 20.3 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.6 steals in 31.0 minutes per contest across 22 games (18 starts) for Raptors 905,
earning three 10-day contracts with the Indiana Pacers and Portland Trail Blazers. The Mississippi State product was selected with the 57th pick in the 2020 NBA

Draft by the Brooklyn Nets after posting 17.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game in his sophomore season. He owns NBA career averages of 4.7 points and 3.3 rebounds for the Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers, and Portland Trail Blazers.
